Ready to Develop
your Fintuition?

Fintuition White F Mark

It started with a single sentence…

“We will make a businesswoman out of you.”

When Founder Michaele Morrow Esdale left academia for investment banking, she brought with her a PhD, CPA, a national research ranking, a full professorship, and years of leadership in tax and accounting. Still, one sentence from her new boss made it clear: since she had never owned her own business, she wasn’t considered a “businesswoman.”

This was the catalyst to add a new title to her résumé: Founder.

In 2023, Fintuition Advising was born from that comment. Instead of accepting the narrative, Michaele reframed it: anyone, regardless of past experience, can build business and financial confidence. They just need the right clarity, tools, and support.

Dan Esdale joined the firm in 2025, adding a seasoned Chief Marketing Officer to the team to partner with our clients on growth and branding goals. Today, Michaele and Dan work side-by-side with individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits to solve complex financial and business challenges by integrating tax planning, preparation, and growth insight. Our work is grounded in partnership with clients to move them forward with confidence and a deeper understanding of their goals. Together, we help you define and achieve a sustainable future state that is measurable and rooted in your unique vision

Do you charge for the first consulting session?

For tax and financial therapy engagements, we do charge an hourly rate for the initial session, which provides informed, actionable guidance.

For growth marketing, workshops, and coaching, the first session is typically a complimentary discovery call focused on understanding your needs and determining fit.

What are your rates and how do you charge for projects?

It depends on the engagement and scope of work. Some engagements are flat fee, but we generally track hours to keep things simple, transparent, and flexible. For hourly engagements, we provide regular reports on hours worked so you always know where things stand in relation to scope of work and budget. No surprise bills!

I need my taxes done right away — can you help?

We do everything we can to accommodate clients during busy periods, but as a boutique consulting firm, we don’t take on more than we can handle while maintaining the high standard of service we’re known for. The closer we get to tax season, the tighter our schedule becomes — so early outreach is always best using the form below!

I feel ashamed I am so behind with tax obligations. Can you help?

We have seen it all and we aren’t here to judge. We start where you are.

What types of clients do you work with?

Fintuition works with individuals, small business owners, nonprofits, leadership teams, and higher education institutions. Our clients range from first-time tax filers to seasoned executives and Boards of Directors seeking strategy, clarity, and growth.

Can you help with both personal and business tax needs?

Yes — Fintuition Advising is experienced across the full spectrum of tax preparation and strategy. We handle individual, business, trust, estate, and international filings, offering comprehensive compliance and planning services tailored to your unique circumstances.

Do you work virtually or on-site?

Both! Again, this depends on the needs of our client and the scope of work. We travel to client sites for engagements that require face-to-face interaction, but work virtually whenever possible to keep travel costs to a minimum.

Where are you located?

Fintuition Advising is located in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.

Does Fintuition Advising have a mascot?

We sure do! Our three-year-old Australian Cobberdog Ollie can sometimes be heard in the background.

“Fintuition Advising is built around a simple idea: working with an expert to solve a problem should make things more clear, not more complicated. After years as executives ourselves, we wanted to offer the kind of partnership we always looked for — one that merges financial precision with strategic creativity and a focus on measurable outcomes.”
